The official magazine of the MR2 Drivers' Club is called "Log Book" and in 1998 "Classic Cars" magazine voted "Log Book" the best magazine of any club having less than 5,000 members.

In 1990 when the club started, we produced little more than an A4 photocopied news letter. This quickly changed as the membership grew and soon the club was producing a 30 to 40 page A5 magazine, each month, packed with technical articles, event reports, regional reports as well as member's contributions.

In April 2007, the magazine kept the same format but rather than being printed, was available to download online. In addition to the online monthly Log Book, a quarterly printed newsletter Log Book extra was launched and sent by post.

In 2008, Log Book reverted to a printed publication as a 8-page centre fold in MR2 Only Magazine, which was a bi-monthly publication, dedicated to our beloved MR2. Log Book extra remains as a quarterly newsletter.

Since May 2010, the Club is sending out a monthly email newsletter called eLogBook (to keep with the theme over the years). This email newsletter was introduced to replace the quarterly newsletter Log Book extra, and save the Club valuable funds.

At the end of August 2010, MR2 Only Magazine ceased to be produced. Therefore, the Board of Directors is currently looking at an alternative.

On becoming a fully paid up member of the club you will automatically receive the latest copy of the eLogBook, and the latest issue of Log Book (once we have found an alternative format).

The success of the magazine depends on contributions from our members - particularly new members. If you have any stories, articles, queries or suggestions please make an effort to put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard) and contact us with the results by emailing logbook@mr2dc.com.
